"Okay." Wesley kept his eyes on Spike, unable to keep from smiling slightly just because he was able to look at him. "I suppose that means I have to let go of you."

Spike looked down almost shyly, then gave Wesley a soft smile. "I love you. I have to try to make this easier on you."

"God... you're so gorgeous. I'm very, very lucky, which believe me is not something I would have imagined myself saying considering where I am right now." Wesley said the words easily, the drug in his system taking any edge of his self-consciousness.

Spike wasn't quite sure why him being gorgeous made Wesley feel particularly lucky, but perhaps it was because he at least had something nice to look at in the boring room. "You are lucky to be where you are, pet," Spike reminded him.
