"You're lying," Wesley said calmly. "Either to me, or to yourself."

Spike began to bounce his leg in frustration. "I think I'm more aware of the truth here than you are."

"We can't build a relationship if you're convinced that there are things I can't handle about your past. I was a Watcher, for Gods' sake. Do you seriously believe that I have no idea what you've done?"

"There are things I can't handle about my past," Spike said angrily, pushing himself to his feet. "And it's got nothing to do with being a vampire."

Wesley stood up as well, but deliberately stayed where he was, not wanting to put more pressure on Spike by moving closer. "Tell me."
