"Thank you for giving it to me," Wesley said, just as softly, closing his eyes and resting his hand on Spike's chest, letting his thumb rub back and forth in a gentle rhythm.

"I think it's meant to be repetitive," Wesley suggested, shifting to a position he thought he might be able to fall asleep in. "That's the whole point. Are you comfortable like this?"

"Very." Spike slid his hands over Wesley's warm skin as he let out a contented sigh. "Are you?"

"Mm. Very." Wesley smiled gently. "Perfectly."

Spike smiled and nuzzled Wesley's hair again. "Good thing that word doesn't cause us any problems."

Wesley made a small sound of agreement, slipped his arm around Spike and relaxing more completely into his embrace.

"Get some rest, love," Spike murmured. He felt warm and safe with Wesley pressed so closely against him, and a sense of calm happiness spread through him. "You've had a busy day. Busy few months, really."

"So have you," Wesley said drowsily. "Taking care of me."

"I like taking care of you," Spike said. "When you let me," he added with a smile.
