"I think there are too many things I want," Wesley said, looking at Spike. "One of them might..." He hesitated, not wanting to say it, then he decided that he might as well say it and blame it on the drink. "One of them might be for tomorrow not to have to come."

"There are plenty of things to thank you for," Wesley said, catching Spike's hand with his own and squeezing it.

Spike shook his head, but he kept hold of Wesley's hand. "I haven't done anything special." Apart from not hitting Angel, but he didn't think he should bring that up.

"Yes, you have." Wesley thought that they could probably argue about it all night, and that was the last thing he wanted to do. "And you could do something else for me now."
