"It might take her a bit to warm up," Spike agreed, "but it sounds like you've both changed a lot in these past few years. And she's more like you than you think." He hugged Wesley closer. "I think I'd end up the third wheel if she were here."

Spike unwrapped one of his arms from around Wesley and felt around blindly over the side of the tub for the juice. "Here you are," he said, handing the now damp glass to Wesley. "How are you feeling?"

"Fine," Wesley said, taking the glass and drinking some juice. "Very relaxed. I might still need that nap before our planned evening of doing nothing."

"A nap'd be good for you," Spike said, caressing Wesley's shoulder and sliding his hand down his unoccupied arm. "You've done a lot more today than you probably should have done."

"But I feel actually tired, rather than just worn out," Wesley said. "It's a nice change." He held the glass so that the bottom of it semi-floated on the top of the water.

Spike's hand moved from Wesley's arm to smooth along his ribs. "Good." He hesitated and then asked almost gravely, "How's your throat?"
