"You don't need to defend me, pet," Spike told Wesley. "I've taken him down before, and I can again. Besides, it's getting tiring to have to use small words so he can follow along."

"Oh, would you rather talk in poems, William?" Angel asked, smirking.

"Right. That's it." Spike released Wesley's hand and started to rise from his seat. He knew that Wesley would be upset and that Angel had just been baiting him, but his temper was frayed to its limits.
