Spike grinned at the question. "Even then. Might be angry, but my heart won't change. You could rip my heart in a thousand pieces, and I'd still love you. Might not trust you further than you could throw me, but I'd love you." Spike shrugged, aware that that wasn't necessarily a good trait and that it had caused him huge amounts of pain in the past. "It's just how I am."
